Highlights

Play Championship Golf Courses

Play Championship Golf Courses

We will be visiting and playing up to 7 amazing links style courses nestled on the west coast and western isles of Scotland. All of which are currently ranked in the top 100 golf courses. We will play at the Birthplace of The British Open, Prestwick, the magnificent Western Gailes, the Royal Troon, The Old Tom Morris Designed Machrihanish Links, Spectacular Machrie on Islay as well as the new course at Machrihanish (The most natural links course in Scotland). Our journey will also take us to Arran where we will revel in the unique 12 hole course at Shiskine and pristine Whiting Bay or one of Arran's other spectacular courses.

Islay & Her Distilleries

Islay & Her Distilleries

Islay is an island of pilgrimage for the world-wide single malt whisky faithful and no trip would be complete without a visit to a distillery or......7!?! We have lined up 2 but there is always room to add more. Whilst on Islay we will be playing the incredible Machrie Links. The Machrie is an iconic Scottish championship links stretching over 7000 yards from the back tees. An original Willie Campbell design dating back to 1891, it is now a masterpiece redesigned by DJ Russell. Among many recent accolades it ranks in the top 20 golf courses in Scotland. Slainte!!

Isle of Arran

Isle of Arran

The Isle of Arran is a place where you can find a little bit of everything you'd ever want from a Scottish island. It has an ever-changing coastline, dramatic mountain peaks, sheltered beaches, verdant forests, great cultural festivals and a wealth of tasty local produce. Known as Scotland in Miniature she boasts 2 distilleries and 9 Golf Courses as well as being the home island of your host Graeme.

Machrihanish Golf

Machrihanish Golf

The world famous Machrihanish Links. This Old Tom Morris Championship course, away from it all on the Kintyre Peninsula, is a 'must visit' links in the same bracket as Royal Dornoch 240 miles north-east. Machrihanish has rightly been a mainstay in the top 100 golf courses from the outset. Anyone who has made the journey will testify that it is one well worth making for way more than the chance to finally stand on the famous 1st tee and gaze across the beach to the curving fairway beyond. Although Machrihanish is thought to have the best 1st hole in golf it is far from a one-trick pony. The links terrain is among the most natural you will encounter. The following day we will play the incredible Machrihanish Dunes. More than 100 years after Machrihanish Links was laid out, renowned present-day golf course architect David McLay Kidd realized a longstanding dream to build a second course and added to the number of Scottish Links courses and Machrihanish Dunes. This "new course situated on pristine linksland protected by the Scottish government, offers you a rare opportunity to create and craft golf shots just as the men of Scotland did centuries ago, when they conceived the game, brought it to birth and gave it to the world. For the golfer that accepts the challenge, the reward is a truly unforgettable experience. Since opening in 2009, the golf links at "Mach Dunes" has received numerous recognitions as one of the great golf experiences one will find anywhere in the world.

Ayrshire - The Golf Mecca

Ayrshire - The Golf Mecca

The stretch of Ayrshire coast between Largs in the north and Garvin in the south must be one of the most bountiful in golfing terms, anywhere in the world. On a stretch of coastal land not much more than 50 miles in length you will find some of the finest links golf courses you could wish for. You can drive from top to bottom in about an hour but to do so would be an injustice to the quality of golf you would be bypassing. Take your time and savor a golfing journey fit for a connoisseur. We will be staying the heart of this stretch of golfing glory in Troon and will be playing Royal Troon (Home of the 2024 Open), Prestwick (The Original Open Championship Course) and Western Gailes considered the "Hidden Gem" of Scottish Links and home to the Curtis Cup and 8 Scottish Amateur Championships.

Inverary Castle

Inverary Castle

On day one, the adventure begins. En route from the airport to Machrihanish, we will make a stop by the Fairytale Inveraray Castle where you may just get to meet the Duke of Argyll.

The Freshest Seafood

The Freshest Seafood

Being an island, Scotland is nestled between the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean which provides some of the freshest seafood in the world. Dine on langoustine caught that day, mussels harvested that morning, scallops plucked from the ocean floor and haddock that will make your mouth water.

Graeme will be your Guide for this trip and look forward to seeing you in beautiful Scotland.

FAQs

We have a time and a location already planned to pick up and drop off the entire group at Glasgow International Airport in Scotland or the United Kingdom (airport code: GLA). After you book, you will see a welcome email with more information on making your flights and what times we have set for pick up and drop off. Many people prefer to fly in a day early or stay late to adjust to the timezones or extend their trip. Feel free to email us with any questions. We are happy to help.

We have a pre arranged pick up and drop off time at the Glasgow airport. Many of our guests choose to fly in a day or more before the tour starts to avoid unanticipated travel delays and/or to adjust to the time change and see a few sites around Glasgow or other places not included on the tour.

We will be traveling in multiple 9 passenger vans for your comfort and to accommodate luggage and clubs. We assume everyone will be bringing their own clubs. Caddies and Club hire is not included in the price but they are available and we can help make those arrangements. Feel free to email or call after booking your tour to chat with us more about this and any other questions you might have.

Upon booking, you will receive a welcome email with more information to help you plan for your tour or for more on packing and our related policies, see also: https://www.radiant-moments.com/FAQs/Policies
