Join us on an amazing adventure through some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, the largest whisky producing region and through some of the most beautiful villages and scenery anywhere. Our trip will encapsulate a truly Scottish experience that will take you from the highest peaks, the most fertile valleys, the oldest forests, through whisky heaven, by the most famous of lochs, through some of Scotland's most picturesque castles, and we will stay in the finest of boutique hotels in some of the most historic towns in Scotland.

Highlights

Speyside

Speyside

Speyside is a remarkable destination for whisky enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking a taste of Scotland's rich cultural and historical heritage. Characterized by rolling hills, picturesque valleys, and the meandering River Spey, Speyside offers breathtaking views, charming towns, and a wealth of things to see and do. The region is also home to the Cairngorms National Park, one of the largest national parks in the UK. Playing host to more than 50 distilleries, Speyside has the greatest concentration of malt whisky producers in the world, and we will visit more than a few of them.

Lochness

Lochness

Loch Ness contains more water than all the lakes of England and Wales combined, making it the most voluminous lake in the UK. This beautiful loch is located in the Scottish Highlands and is shrouded in mystery. Does a monster lurk in the deep? See for yourself as we take a boat trip from our home on the southern banks of the Loch, Fort Augustus. Loch Ness is one of those rare destinations that engages everyone, from children enchanted with Nessie, to adults interested in photography, hiking and more. It combines Jacobite history, stunning scenery and the possibility of a "monster" sighting, ensuring it's a perfect destination all year round.

Castles

Castles

From wonderfully preserved medieval strongholds and romantic cliff top ruins, to turreted fairy-tale châteaus and haunted tower houses steeped in legend, Scotland is bursting with spellbinding castles to visit. We will take the opportunity to take you to three of Scotland's finest on this tour. Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness where over 1000 years of stirring history centered on the Great Glen. Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most iconic images of Scotland. Situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet and surrounded by some majestic scenery. Blair Castle is nestled in the landscape of Highland Perthshire and has been home to 19 generations of Stewarts and Murrays of Atholl.

Stunning Highland Scenery

Stunning Highland Scenery

By far the largest region in Scotland, the Highlands covers nearly 10,000 sq miles in northern Scotland. The region is home to stunning scenery, including the legendary Loch Ness. Sporting some of the world’s most stunning scenery, the region is spoiled with wonderful walks, and has one of the oldest and most fascinating histories on earth. If the great outdoors is not enough to fill your boots, kick back in the area’s luxurious hotels and resorts. The Highlands also feature legendary battlefields, museums packed with rich local history and breath-taking geological wonders, not to mention many famous distilleries and breweries.

Day 1: Pick up

We will designate a single pick up point at the Edinburgh Airport on May 12, 2025 by 11:00am. Everyone will receive an email with the full itinerary and the meeting point for our group.

From the airport, we will start our tour taking in sights along our drive to the Craigallechie Hotel.

To avoid possible interruptions, cancellations or delays, many of our guests fly in a day or more before. This also allows time to adjust to the timezone and have a little time to visit the city of Edinburgh which isn't part of this tour package. We are happy to make suggestions to help you plan your extended stay if you are interested.

Please note: The transatlantic flight from the US is typically an overnight flight so, if you fly out on May 11th, you will not arrive until the 12th (also keep in mind that from the time you land and go through security, you will likely be another hour or so).
